600 g sliced Black Forest Ham, lettuce
With its mild smoked taste, Black Forest Ham goes well with spicy dip sauces and can be a delicious opener to a feast.
Mustard-dill dip: 100 g mild mustard, 20 g maple syrup, Tabasco
Stir mustard and maple syrup together to form a sauce and then season to taste with a few drops of Tabasco.
Ginger-curry dip: 1 cup of yoghurt, some mayonnaise, ½ ginger root, 1 tbsp curry powder, lemon juice, sugar, salt
Stir yoghurt together with 1 tbsp mayonnaise, grate ginger and mix with curry, and season to taste with lemon juice, sugar and salt.
Apple-cucumber dip: 1 cup of yoghurt, 1 small apple, 1 piece of cucumber, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and white pepper
Mix yoghurt with mayonnaise, peel the apple and cucumber and cut into very tiny cubes, blend in. Season to taste with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Horseradish dip: ½ cup of yoghurt, 2 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp horseradish, lemon and orange juice, brandy
Mix all ingredients and season to taste with lemon and orange juice and a little brandy.
Create little rolls with the ham slices, divide up and place on salad leaves on 4 plates. Arrange the four dips in four small bowls and serve with toasted white bread.
